It's a new dawn

Yes. It's a year since we set-up the IJUG. We kick started with the launch party for 1.6 and it's fitting we start afresh with a new year and a new Joomla!!! And a new committee.

So who wants to get involved? We will need a chairman and treasurer at least. I will be standing down to give someone else a chance to steer the JUG. Nominations and voting can take place in the forum.

Thanks for a great year. It's been an inspiration and I hope my successor has as great a time and learns as much as I did. Thanks to everyone who has got involved and hope to see you at one of the meet-ups (I'll be the drunk in the corner babbling about JHtml::_('behavior.caption')). Not that I'm leaving Joomla behind or anything, but I am now involved in teaching joomla at the Coder Dojos and the VEC and it is taking up too much of my time.

We still have a JoomlaDay to run and I will help my successor get up to speed on who has offered what in terms of sponsorship etc.
