As you may be aware the first of the betas is out. As expected the new ACL means that j1.5 extensions will not work and there is no legacy mode.

How long will it take developers to upgrade their products only time will tell. Exciting times are always controversial and this is no exception.

I must admit I'm not as impressed with 1.6 as I am with the nooku framework built for 1.5

Yet again I believe thias comes down to two things

a) Is joomla a CMS or a web framework

which depends on

b) Is joomla built for developers or beginners.

As an experienced developer my choice is obvious but how do you feel about it?
