Hi,

Not a one to be seen. I arrived at Jurys and the restaurant was closed. Waited for 20 minutes and no one showed up. Why?

Ah my sincere apologies. We arrived at Jury's to find out the wifi was €5 each per hour. I had assumed (rather ignorantly maybe) it was complimentary. And upon asking the staff to contemplate a group rate, we were pretty rudely dissuaded. So we left and headed to the Meyrick where they have free wifi in the lobby. We'll be having them there from now on.

There were four of us total. Just some introductory stuff, pretty casual. Your presence would have been a nice addition and I really hope you aren't too dissuaded to attend the next one. I can't apologise enough. Thanks for making the effort.

Lisa

Really sorry man, both for the short notice in the first place and then the mess up.

I hung around outside Jury's until 11:10 but there was no way I would have recognised anyone.

The Jury's staff were extremely patronising and dealing with them was unpleasant.

On the other hand The Meyrick hotel offered us the use of the executive lounge for a reasonable price, with a large screen to plug in a laptop , plenty of electrical sockets and most importantly a really welcoming staff. I expect the Meyrick will be our permanent home

The meeting was really informal with no minutes or anything like that. The only thing decided was that the meetings would alternate between Dublin and Galway. So there will be a Galway meet every second month.

We will put an ad in the Galway Advertiser and Evening Herald a week prior to each meet.

If you are interested in helping put the Dublin meet together just let me know.
