Hey everyone,

I'm Paul Marshall I'm the co-ordinator for JoomlaNI the Official Joomla User Group in Northern Ireland. I'm based in Bangor just outside Belfast.

Rob alerted me to the existence of this group (thanks Rob) and I hope that the two groups can usefully co-ordinate over the years to come.

Although using the software for over 3 years now, I've not seen too many users here in Ireland - I don't know how many users there are but I'm sure there are more that would at first be apparent - and more should come from the two JUGs.

I run many websites as a hobby and I have my business on a Joomla site also. The site in which I have invested the most time and money is the bodhran site www.bodojo.com. Just over 2 years old and 1800+ members with all the community bells & whistles that Joomla can offer - it is addictive.

Anyway I wanted to introduce myself and Joomlani. I look forward to the two sites co-ordinating and working together in times to come. Thanks for joining & posting on Joomlani Rob.

I too am into seeing what kind of buzz we get going here. Always nice to run into other enthusiasts. Thanks for the kind words on Joomla.org on our behalf.

I've noticed a major upsurge in irish Joomla sites during my cyber travels recently. My surfing has also gotten much more Irish-based lately so it's hard to determine if it's the environment changing, or me paying more attention. Most likely a bit of both, which can only be a good sign

I get really excited about the future of Joomla in this country. Always glad to be on board.
